NEMI Public Library is located in the town of Little Current on Manitoulin Island. First established in 1893, the library in our community has had many incarnations. Our library is small but spacious with a variety of cozy and utilitarian spaces. It is a popular place for reading, working and socializing. There is a playground on the grounds as well.
The library has a variety of collections in house. These include adult fiction and non-fiction, in regular print, large print and audiobook formats. Our large selection of movies and television series on DVD is a popular collection. Our children’s area features a variety of book collections as well as a play area. Popular children’s collections include picture books, graphic novels, board books, DVDs and nonfiction.
NEMI Library provides free WIFI internet service for all. You can access the free WIFI from your own devices or at the library’s computer stations. We offer and host a variety of workshops and classes in our board room. Popular classes include watercolour painting, journaling and photo editing.NEMI Public Library is run by a public board and a small staff.
