NEMI Public Library users now have access to our Quiet Room. Our Quiet Room is a specially designed private space that has been built with regard to shielding noise from and towards the surroundings. For added privacy, there are 2 white noise machines available.
The Quiet Room is primarily for use for private resource and support meetings, whether in-person or virtually. The room is equipped with a desk, desktop computer and chairs. The large screen desktop computer is ready to use for video conferencing
You can book the Quiet Room in advance for resource, support and other private meetings. To book, please call 705-368-2444 or email info@nemilibrary.ca.
For general use, the room is available for one hour on a first-come-first-served basis. Please check in at the circulation desk if you would like to use the quiet room.
Quiet Room Rules:
- Follow NEMI Public Library’s Code of Conduct: Be respectful of others and library property and be safe.
- Do not block the door window. Staff must be able to see into the room for safety reasons.
- No food or open drinks in the quiet room (water bottles that close are permitted).
The Quiet Room was made possible in partnership with Manitoulin-Sudbury District Social Services Board.
