Makerspace
The NEMI Public Library Makerspace is a collection of communal tools for making, learning, exploring and sharing. Equipment is available to be used in the library during regular library hours by members of NEMI Public Library who have completed all necessary training and demonstrated the ability to use the equipment safely.
How it Works:
- Equipment is available for use in-library during regular library hours.
- Users must be members of NEMI Public Library in good standing.
- Use of some equipment requires users to complete self-directed, online training.
- Users must demonstrate the ability to use the equipment safely.
- Users must sign a Makerspace User Agreement.
- Use of most Makerspace equipment requires basic computer skills. Computers and laptops are available for use or users may supply their own.
- Makerspace staff is available to support you as you learn to use the equipment. However, they are not available to teach you how to use the equipment.
- Users are responsible for ensuring that they are using the proper materials and using the equipment properly.
- To reserve equipment, speak with library staff. If not reserved, equipment is available on a first come, served basis.
- Sign in at the front desk to use Makerspace Equipment.
- Let staff know when you are done using the equipment before leaving the library.
