Your NEMI Library Card:

Connecting you to information, education and entertainment.

Card Holders Can:

Membership will be granted to individuals who provide verification of address and identification by showing a document bearing his/her name and current address. All residents and property holders of the Municipality of Northeastern Manitoulin and the Islands are entitled to a NEMI Public Library Membership at no charge.  A Non-Resident Membership is available for $30/year.

Children under the age of 13 must register for membership accompanied by a parent or guardian who presents identification with name and address, and signs for responsibility for fines, damages or lost items.

Please note: Membership expires annually. Renewal requires verification of the member’s name, address, telephone number and payment of outstanding monies owed to the library.

New Library Card Form

You can now complete the following form to get your new NEMI Public Library Card Application started.  Once submitted we will be in touch to will let you know when your card is ready to be picked up.

Proof of Residency: You can attach a file below showing you live or have property in NEMI.  Or you can bring your proof of residency when you come to pick up your new library card.

The following documents are accepted as Proof of Residency:

Health Card with Photo • Citizenship Card • Passport • Student ID Card • OAS (Senior’s Card) • Employer Issued Photo ID • BYID (LCBO) • Any Benefit Statement Issued by Government of Canada • Bank Account Statement • Utility Bill • Mortgage, Rental or Lease Agreement • Property Tax Assessment or Bill • Motor Vehicle Permit • Insurance Policy • Employer Record • Secondary School, College or University Report Card
